What is indoor karting?

Indoor go-karting is the best way to drive go karts in Metro Detroit. America invented the go kart in the 50’s. Indoor use began in Europe, and has been increasingly popular here in the States. Since weather is never an issue, drivers can race all year round. With karts capable of 40 mph and a live timing and scoring system, indoor karting offers real racing excitement at an affordable cost.

How old/tall do you have to be?

Our Pro Karts are adult style/size karts running 40mph. We ask that all Pro Kart drivers be 15 years of age with Learners Permit or License. Our New Junior Karts require drivers to be 56 inches tall or 12 years old. Big Kid Karts allow parents to race with kids in same heat. Please note: We do not have double seat karts.

How fast are Kart 2 Kart's go-karts?

Our Sodi Pro (Adult) Karts are modeled after racing karts, the same style that professional drivers started out in. Powered by Honda 6.5hp engine, drivers can achieve speeds upwards of 40 mph on our 1/5 mile, 6 turn road course. Junior Sodi Kart is younger brother to the above kart, with 5.5 hp Honda engine and reach speeds of 25mph on same course. Big Kids Kart is a Pro Kart, that has reduced speed in order to race together with Junior Karts. Larger kids or parents can drive these karts in same races at Jr. Karts.

What should I wear?

Dress comfortably and for racing, high heels and a blazer will help you look good, but won't make you any faster. Kart 2 Kart supplies all the racing gear (helmets and neck collars, basic gloves complimentary with Annual License.) If you have your own DOT helmet, with shield, goggles or visor—you may use it at K2K.

During winter months we suggest a sweater, sweatshirt, or jacket.

**Rental Shoes with new socks available for those who need proper footwear.
